2014 Gold Coast Airport Marathon
The Gold Coast Airport Marathon is a huge event on the South East Queenslands running calendar each July situated along the city's beautiful Broadwater foreshore precinct. The flat terrain and mild winter temperatures make it a runner's favourite.
The Gold Coast Airport Marathon has grown in participant numbers for the past 10 consecutive years, with a record 24,726 entrants in 2011. Of those, more than 700 came from Japan and almost 400 travelled from New Zealand. Hundreds of runners from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and other international destinations also participated.
The Gold Coast Airport Marathon is officially accredited by Athletics Australia and the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). It annually assembles a quality field of elite runners pursuing a slice of the large prize money pool and the various championships on offer.

The Gold Coast Airport Marathon is to be next held on Saturday 5 July & Sunday 6 July 2014, featuring a marathon, half marathon, 10 kilometre run, community walk and junior dash. Now in its 34th year, runners and walkers of all ages will come from all over the world to experience the magnificent running conditions and beautiful course that runs alongside the Pacific Ocean surf beaches and Broadwater.
