Terms & Conditions
Watermark Hotel & Spa Gold Coast is a fully licensed hotel and all guests must be over 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to enter any part of the hotel including accommodation. Guests may be requested to provide Photo ID as proof of age or may be refused accommodation with full cancellation terms applying.
Club Watermark lounge
The Club Lounge is an exclusive sanctuary for adults and as such persons under the age of 18 are not permitted.
Restriction period
During the period of 16 - 30 November 2013, all guests must be over 21 years of age or children must be accompanied by parents and not guardians.
Hotel FAQ's
Do guest rooms have any balconies?
No, the hotel rooms do not have any balconies.
Do I need my credit card to check-in?
At check-in a credit card pre-authorisation is required to guarantee any incidentals. If a credit card is not available, a current form of photographic identification is required along with a cash deposit of $100 per stay and the total of the accommodation charges. This can be made with cash or via EFTPOS. Any unused portion of this deposit will be refunded on departure.
Do I need to make payment at the time of booking?
On receipt of your booking the nominated credit card will be charged the full amount of your stay, including any extras that you have selected. When you check out, you will receive a receipt which notes the payment received.
Do you charge any commission or fees for credit card payments?
All credit card transactions will incur a 1.5% transaction charge.
Do you have any cooking facilities?
No. We are a fully serviced hotel with 2 restaurants and in-room dining. Our guest rooms do not include kitchen facilities.
Do you have smoking rooms?
Yes, smoking rooms are available. Please see booking page for availability.
Do you offer a babysitting service?
Yes, babysitting services can be arranged through concierge.
Do you offer any airport transfers?
No, the hotel does not have an airport transfer service, however, guests can contact our Concierge desk on (07) 5588 8372 to arrange a transfer service.
Does the hotel have internet access?
Yes, the hotel has hi-speed Internet access in all rooms (charges apply). The business centre also offer internet access at a fee and guests dining at Amalfi and Waves can access the internet free when they are in the restaurants.
How do I cancel or make changes to my booking?

How far are you from major tourist attractions?
The hotel is 5 mins walk to the Surfers Paradise shopping, dining and entertainment hub.
- Surfers Paradise Beach – 2 minutes walk
- Cavill Mall – 5 minutes walk
- Skypoint – 1 minute walk
How much are local calls from the room?
Local calls cost 90 cents for the first 19 minutes of the call and 17 cents per minute for each minute afterwards.
How much do you charge for in-room movies?
The cost of an in-room movie is between $7.95 and $18.95.
How much does parking at the hotel cost?
Undercover car parking is available for $15 per night. Valet parking is available for $20 per night. To arrange, please contact reservations on (07) 5588 8333 or request from concierge on arrival. Limited spaces available.
Is there a dress code for Club Lounge?
Yes, smart casual attire is required (excludes singlets). Males must wear enclosed footwear.
Is there a laundry service in the hotel?
The hotel offers a coin operated laundry on Level 2 and 24 hr dry cleaning service.
What are the pool and gym opening hour?
Both facilities are open from 6am until 10pm and available 7 days a week.
What are your swimming pool dimensions?
The swimming pools are located on Level 1 and Level 2 and are 15 metres in length and 4 meters wide.
What is the cost for an additional person and rollaway bed?
Room rates are based on 2 people. For a 3rd adult there is an additional fee of $35 per night using existing bedding. A 3rd person requiring a rollaway bed is a $70. Children are free if using existing bedding. If a rollaway is required for a child, the charge is $35.
What is the distance from the airport?
Gold Coast Airport, Coolangatta is located 23km from the hotel.
What is the minimum age to check-in to the hotel?
Guests must be a minimum of 18 years to check-in at Watermark Hotel and Spa Gold Coast. During the Schoolies period, all guests must be over 21 years or over and children must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians.
What is your hotel room cancellation policy?
Cancellations received within 24 hours of arrival, will incur a late cancellation fee of one night's accommodation. For cancellation of a booking between 25 December - 02 January, 7 days notice is required to avoid the one night penalty.
What time is check-in? Can I check in early?
Check-in time is 2pm. However, if you arrive earlier, luggage storage is available and you are welcome to use hotel facilities. A request for early check-in can be made with Reservations but cannot be guaranteed and charges may apply.
What time is check-out? Is there a charge for late checkout?
Check out time is 10am. Club Premier rooms and some packages include complimentary late checkout. Charges apply for all other late checkouts.
