Amalfi Bistro & Wine Bar wins "Best Italian Restaurant"

The Restaurant & Catering Association of Queensland has awarded Watermark Hotel & Spa’s, Amalfi Bistro & Wine Bar as the Best Italian Restaurant on the Gold Coast for 2007. The lavish awards presentation, attended by 480 of Queensland ’s dining elite, recognised the very best restaurants and dining diversity throughout the Gold Coast region. 

Specialising in fresh and authentic Italian cuisine with a Mediterranean focus, Amalfi Bistro & Wine Bar has consistently received high praise from its customers and the restaurant fraternity alike. With over 730 restaurants on the Gold Coast region, the award’s recognition of Amalfi as the best Italian Restaurant on the Gold Coast is the culmination of ongoing innovations to the menu, service and facilities.

Watermark Hotel Group General Manager, Donald Cox has attributed much of the success of Amalfi Bistro & Wine Bar to it’s Chef de Cuisine – Angelo Borlotti.  “Since joining the hotel over a year ago, Angelo has developed with the hotel’s food and beverage team a truly authentic dining experience that infuses his Sardinian heritage, Italian culture and extensive culinary knowledge into a truly delightful dining experience”

Since Amalfi opened over 4 years ago, the restaurant has received individual awards for either it’s food or beverage and the award of the Best Italian Restaurant on the Gold Coast is now the jewel in the crown.

Amalfi Bistro & Wine Bar is the Watermark Hotel & Spa’s signature restaurant, located opposite the Q1, it is an ideal venue for casual lunches, romantic dinners or a quite drink with friends. Having recently added an alfresco dining area overlooking Surfers Paradise Boulevard and refreshed its menu and beverage selection, Amalfi Bistro and Wine bar is now officially the best Italian restaurant and bar to dine at.

Opened from 11am daily for lunch and from Tuesday to Saturday for dinner, the stylish décor and friendly efficient service coupled with Borlotti’s inspired dishes ensure a dining experience to remember.
