<<News Home | July 2008 Media Release Media Release: July 20, 2008 5 Star Upgrade Program The Watermark Hotel & Spa Gold Coast is delighted to announce that upgrade works are well underway and we look forward to sharing the improved facilities with you in the upcoming months. Upon completion, a host of new luxurious facilities can be enjoyed including a multi-million dollar upgrade of Waves Buffet Restaurant, hotel entry and lobby, designated Club Watermark reception and re-classification of 146 rooms and suites from 4.5 star to 5 star – Club Watermark accommodation. The launch of Club Watermark accommodation will take place from 1 August 2008 and features new internationally made, custom designed furnishings, Comfort Plus signature bedding and deluxe finishes including a 82cm Plasma television. Room and Club Lounge amenities are elevated in keeping with the new 5 star experience. The various projects have been arranged to ensure that minimal disruption to guests is experienced and the accommodation room project will have no impact at all. In general it is business as usual. Whilst the hotel has developed the building projects so as to avoid guest inconvenience, it is not possible for all works to proceed without some incursion into guest and public areas. On these occasions the hotel will minimise the impact of the building works by providing alternative service and facility options so as to maintain the enjoyment of the diverse hotel products.
